Welcome to East Sunshine Kindergarten
Womenjeka. At East Sunshine Kindergarten, we acknowledge the Wurundjeri people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we gather, learn, and play, and we pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging.
We believe children arrive at kindergarten full of ideas, curiosity, and capability. Our play-based, emergent program supports children to explore, create, and learn in ways that feel meaningful to them. Guided by the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and Being, Belonging and Becoming, we help children build a strong sense of identity and wellbeing, become confident learners, connect with their world, and communicate effectively.
Families are recognised as children’s first teachers. We value family input and partnership, knowing it enriches our program and supports children’s learning, resilience, and sense of belonging. Flexible routines help children feel safe and secure, while developing independence and agency.
Our educators model respect, inclusion, fairness, empathy, and care every day. Ongoing reflection and professional learning ensure we continue to grow and provide high-quality learning experiences. We are committed to child safety and to advocating for every child’s right to feel safe, supported, and valued within our kindergarten and the wider community.
