Welcome to North Maidstone Kindergarten, a warm and inclusive place where children feel safe, valued, and supported to learn and grow.
Our small, one-room kindergarten creates a close-knit community where every child is known as an individual. This setting allows educators to build strong, trusting relationships with children and families, helping each child feel a true sense of belonging from the moment they arrive.
We offer a rich, play-based learning program guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework. Through a balance of child-led exploration, guided play, and intentional teaching, children are supported to develop socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively in ways that feel natural and meaningful to them.
We respectfully acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Owners of the land on which our kindergarten stands. Cultural understanding, respect, and inclusion are part of our everyday practice, and we value the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and creativity each child brings with them.
Our one-room model allows learning to be shaped around children’s interests, strengths, and stages of development. It also supports deeper connections between educators, children, and families, creating a calm and welcoming environment where children can build confidence and resilience.
At North Maidstone Kindergarten, families are essential partners in each child’s learning journey. We value open, respectful communication and work closely with families to support children in developing a lifelong love of learning.
A play-based program that supports confidence, communication, and early learning in a safe, nurturing environment.
A free, funded program focused on building independence, resilience, and the skills children need for a successful start to school.
We help children develop the social, emotional, and practical skills they need to feel confident and ready for their first year of school.
“North Maidstone Kindergarten has helped my son settle into kindergarten wonderfully. They were patient and accommodating to his individual needs when facing obstacles throughout the year… The educators are attentive, kind and knowledgeable.”

“From the very first day, I’ve had complete confidence in the wonderful teachers at North Maidstone Kindergarten. They’ve been so warm, kind, and helpful with my daughter, and it’s clear how much they genuinely care about each child… I never feel out of the loop with what’s happening in my daughter’s learning or day-to-day experiences… She leaps out of bed on kinder days, so excited to see her friends and teachers and to learn something new.”

“The program offers a fantastic range of activities that keep my child engaged, curious, and excited to learn every day. The teachers are friendly, caring, and supportive… I also love that the kinder organises lots of incursions and special experiences, which make learning even more fun and hands-on. It’s clear that the team puts a lot of thought and effort into creating a stimulating, nurturing environment…
We couldn’t be happier with our choice!”
