Welcome to Orama Street Child Care Centre, we believe it truly takes a village to raise a child. That belief shapes everything we do, every day.
We see ourselves as an extension of each child’s family. Building strong, trusting relationships with families is central to our approach, grounded in open communication, mutual respect, and genuine partnership. We proudly embrace the cultural diversity of our community and celebrate the unique backgrounds, stories, and identities of our children and families.
We respectfully acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Nations custodians of this land and honour their enduring connection to Country.
Our learning programs are built around meaningful, engaging experiences that support each child’s growth. Through play, exploration, and intentional teaching, children are encouraged to build confidence, develop new skills, and follow their natural curiosity. We focus on creating learning moments that feel purposeful, joyful, and deeply engaging.
By offering rich experiences and positive interactions, we support children to grow, learn, and reach their full potential in a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.
A secure, loving environment with qualified educators who understand infant development and provide individualised care.
Toddlers learn best when they can explore safely. Our rooms give them space to move, try, and gain confidence.
Our integrated kindergarten program is delivered within our childcare setting (long day care), giving children the benefits of a funded kindergarten program alongside the consistency of all-day care.
“We first heard about Orama Street Children’s Centre from our neighbours, who couldn’t speak highly enough of their experience there. Our son, Mateo, started at Orama Street when he was 8 months old, and the educators (Mia, Helen and Hong) have been absolutely wonderful. Their kindness, patience, and genuine care helped him settle in quickly and feel safe and happy… We’re so thankful for the amazing support during this big transition and can’t wait to watch him grow and learn here over the next few years.”

“I’m constantly updated with photos and descriptions of what my children have experienced each day. I always love hearing my children talk about their day at the centre with such excitement. All staff throughout all these years have been warm, caring and professional. Along with my children, I’ve also definitely developed a strong bond with the educators, who my children and I count as family.
The centre provides a nurturing and joyful environment. The staff are all dedicated and are always going above and beyond for all children. After 15 years, it’s definitely a centre I always recommend to parents, especially those who are unsure about trusting a centre with their children.”
