About South Sunshine Kindergarten

Welcome to South Sunshine Kindergarten.

We’re a small, not-for-profit, community-based kindergarten that has proudly supported local families for many years. From the moment you walk through our doors, you’ll feel a warm, inclusive environment where children are known, valued, and encouraged to be themselves.

We believe every child is capable and competent. Through play-based learning, caring relationships, and a strong focus on wellbeing, we support children to build confidence, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning as they prepare for school and beyond.

Our program is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and shaped by each child’s interests, strengths, and pace. Children are encouraged to explore, discover, and grow in ways that feel meaningful and joyful to them.

Our Leadership Team

Rina Devi, Nominated Supervisor

My name is Rina Devi, and I am the Four-Year-Old Teacher, Educational Leader, and Nominated Supervisor at South Sunshine Kindergarten. I have worked in early childhood education for 15 years and feel privileged to lead a caring and passionate team. What I value most about my role is seeing children grow in confidence, independence, and curiosity as they explore the world around them. At South Sunshine Kindergarten, our strength lies in our strong sense of community and the way our team works together to create a warm, inclusive, and engaging environment where every child feels valued. Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, reading, and spending time with family. I am deeply passionate about giving children the best possible start in life by supporting their wellbeing, creativity, and love of learning.

A free, funded program focused on building independence, resilience, and the skills children need for a successful start to school.

Transition to School

We help children develop the social, emotional, and practical skills they need to feel confident and ready for their first year of school.
