Welcome to Sunshine Heights Kindergarten
Sunshine Heights Kindergarten has been part of the local community since 1955, offering a safe, welcoming place where children can feel at home, explore freely, and grow in confidence. Our kindergarten is set within a beautiful natural yard with engaging play spaces that invite curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning. We create a calm, nurturing environment where children feel comfortable to try new things, build independence, and develop a love of learning at their own pace.
Child safety and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to providing a responsive and supportive environment and take our responsibility under the Child Safe Standards seriously. We value nature, sustainability, and a homely atmosphere, while also embedding First Nations perspectives into our program. We respectfully acknowledge the Wurundjeri People as the First People of the land on which we play and learn.
We see families as a child’s first and most important teachers. We work closely with families, sharing information, listening to your stories, and welcoming your culture, language, and experiences into our kindergarten. Our strong connections with local schools, community groups, health services, and support organisations help us create a caring, connected environment where every child and family feels supported and valued.
